3 Bedroom Cabin in Somers
1940 Lake Cabin with stunning views of the Flathead Lake and Mission Mountains. This is our very special home that has been enjoyed by the family for years. The house was one of the original homesteads in the Somers area. Gorgeous river rock fireplace. Lake facing windows in the living room, master bedroom, upstairs loft. Closed in porch. There are two bedrooms on the main floor and a loft with knotty pine walls that has a full sized futon converted to a bed (not practical for an adult). The master bedroom has a king sized bed, and the 2nd bedroom has a queen sized bed. There is one full bathroom in the house and a bathroom (toilet, sink, and shower) in the unfinished basement. Vintage kitchen with a knotty pine wall, original hard wood floors, and cork floor in the kitchen. There is about a hundred feet of private lake frontage and a nice sized yard with a new deck that is accessible from the living room. There is a dock with a boat slip and several places to rent a boat from in the area. Unfortunately there is no where to park a boat trailer and so bringing your own boat would not be feasible unless you have arranged your own trailer storage elsewhere.
The bottom of the lake is rocky so be sure and bring water sandals with a hard sole such as Tevas. While everybody is different in where they feel the water temperature is comfortable, generally most people are comfortable swimming in Flathead lake in July and more so in August. If you were concerned, you could bring or get a wetsuit shirt and pant.

HOUSE RULES:
1) Kayaks provided by owner are to be used with extreme caution and are the sole responsibility of the Guest and must comply with all Montana Boater Safety Regs: http://fwp.mt.gov/recreation/regulations/boating/boatRules.html - WATER SPORT RENTAL IS WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE, RIGHT NEXT TO THE SOMERS BOAT LAUNCH.
2) Parking is limited to 2 vehicles in the driveway. The garage is not available for guests.
3) ONLY toilet paper can be flushed, nothing else (even if it is labeled flush-able - NO FLUSHABLE WIPES) including tampons, condoms, facial wipes, etc CANNOT be flushed.
4) When using the fire pit located on the beach, check wind conditions for safety, do not burn any trash or waste.
5) No glass on the beach area please, this is for your safety and all that follow. Plastic plates, glasses and serve ware are provided for you to use on the beach.
6) There is no daily housekeeping service. I do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the home.
7) Noise - our home is residential area, guests must agree to keep noise levels reasonable and accepted as normal. Please be aware not everyone is on vacation and must keep reasonable normal hours. Unfortunately I cannot control noise levels from neighbors or boaters.
8) Parties/Events - I do NOT permit any kind of get-togethers, entertaining other family or friends, or parties or events at my home.
9) Keep the property and all furnishings in good order.
10) No smoking on the property.
11) No fireworks on the property. There are plenty of other fireworks set off around the Somers Bay for you to enjoy.
