This cabin in an historical area, we have at the land an old train trestle. By the end of the 1800s, a railroad started hauling timber from Cloudcroft New Mexico to Alamogordo. Because of the scenic beauty of this mountainous route, the idea of a tourist attraction was brought to fruition. This route ran from the early 1900's until 1948. Because of the high elevation (8,676 feet, 2644 m one of the highest in the US) allows for a mild summer and snowy winter.
