With direct freeway access you are 20-30 minutes from world-class ski resorts, world-class mtn biking (seriously, the best) and all the other recreation the Wasatch Front has to offer. Walking distance to several neighborhood restaurants, and a short bike ride or longer walk through Sugarhouse Park will take you to the heart of Sugarhouse with dozens of restaurants, bars and shopping. Downtown Salt Lake City is minutes away as well.
