Lakeland Lodge is a classic Northwoods cabin located on Reed Lake and is only 15 minutes east of Hayward. Reed Lake is a peaceful and quiet nature lake. This is a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom cabin that can sleep 6-8 people and is perfect whether you are looking to fish, ski, snowmobile, kayak, canoe or relax. There are golf courses and casinos nearby also.
Sleeping Areas
Bedroom 1:
The primary bedroom is quite spacious and has a queen bed along with a twin bed with pull-out trundle bed. (Sleeps 4) There is an adjoining 3-season porch that has an additional twin bed.
Bedroom 2:
This bedroom has a queen bed. (Sleeps 2)
Living Room has a pull-out couch. (Sleeps 2)
Kitchen/Dining Room
The kitchen is fully stocked and has a dishwasher, microwave and coffee maker. The dining room has a fireplace and dining table.
Living Room
The living room is cozy with a fireplace, books and games.
The cabin has a large wrap around deck with a grill that overlooks the water. There is a firepit area and a dock with a deck to enjoy the lake.
Guests are able to use all lake toys including paddle boards, kayak and canoe. There is a private boat launch nearby that guests are able to use. This is a neighbor's private property and they allow guests and lake owners to use the launch.
The cabin is conveniently located only 15 minutes from Hayward and close to restaurants, golfing, skiing, and snowmobiling. The area is known for its extensive network of trails including the American Birkenbeiner trail. The cabin is located 15 minutes from the finish of the Birkenbeiner trail and 40 minutes from the start.
Summer Months
There are two AC units to keep the cabin cool in the summer, one in the primary bedroom and one in the living room. There is not an AC unit in the second smaller bedroom.
Winter Months
The first part of the driveway is steeper and 4-wheel drive vehicles would be recommended during the slippery and snowy parts of the year.
Pets
We do allow guests to bring 1 dog for an additional fee but must be approved first. We may allow a second dog under some circumstances for an additional fee. Pets must be very well behaved and never left alone on the property unless crated. Pets are not allowed in bedrooms or on furniture and beds. Guests must clean up after animals outside.
