Bear Mountain Hideaway is located in the heart of Prescott National Forest. This multi-level home features three bedrooms, two and half bathrooms and a game room for gathering with friends and family. With its vaulted ceilings and floor to ceiling windows you will be able to experience nature and wildlife viewing during your entire stay without even leaving the living room, if you prefer, just step out on the deck to take in the Arizona sunshine. Bear Mountain Hideaway is just less than 5 miles to picturesque Lynx Lake and less than 12 miles to Historic Downtown Prescott. If you're looking to get away from your hectic day life this is the perfect escape.
Breathe in that delicious mountain air as you find solace in the winter snow or cool summer weather. Prescott offers year round activities including Prescott Frontier Days Rodeo in July, special events at Halloween, Veterans Day parade, Thanksgiving, Lighting of the Courthouse in early December, Christmas festivities, and The Whiskey Row Boot Drop for the New Years Eve Event. The summer Concert Series brings free events to the Courthouse Square, bring your chairs, picnic basket and enjoy the music on the Courthouse Square.
Prescott offers many hiking trails from light and easy to those for the more adventurous seeking a more rugged terrain. You may want to go see the Grand Canyon which is 1-1/2 hours away. Beautiful Sedona is an hour away, Jerome is 40 minutes and Flagstaff 1-1/2 hours away. If you want to see some local animals then our very own Heritage Park Zoo is a short 20 minute drive. The Granite Dells park is a gorgeous picturesque adventure and to name a few others we have Goldwater lake, Willow Creek and Lynx Lake. So many wonderful places to experience and enjoy!
INSIDE THE HOME
Living room: A perfect gathering place to read, play games and cozy up after a long day of sightseeing and exploring. This open space allows guests to mingle while relaxing, preparing meals and dining. It features a wood burning fireplace.
Kitchen: This open concept kitchen features modern day appliances. It has everything you need to prepare your favorite meals, except the ingredients. Appliances include a microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and stove/oven. Prepare dinner with a view of the Ponderosa Pines.
Bathroom 1: Located off the main living area, it includes a shower/tub combo, vanity and toilet. It has been stocked with all the necessary towels.
Bathroom 2: This downstairs bathroom is located in the game room. It features a vanity and toilet.
Master Bathroom: This bathroom features a shower/tub combo, a vanity and a toilet.
Bedroom 1: This bedroom features a queen size bed, side table, lamps and plenty of storage in the closet.
Bedroom 2: This bedroom features a twin over a full size bunk bed. There is ample storage space in the closet.
Master Bedroom: This bedroom features a king size bed with storage below, side tables, and lamps. This bedroom has a private bathroom and walk-in closet.
Game Room: This room is a great gathering place for entertaining. It features a pool table, a Smart Tv for entertainment purposes, and seating. There is a futon available for additional sleeping.
Laundry room: There is a full-size washer and dryer conveniently located on the bottom floor.
OUTSIDE
The deck provides a place to enjoy your coffee and the Arizona weather with beautiful views of Prescott National Forest. Bear Mountain Hideaway is located minutes from hiking trails with plenty of room for off-road exploration.
*Other things to note:*
ALL-WHEEL DRIVE AND/OR 4WD IS REQUIRED IN THE WINTER. The driveway is steep, with several turns, at each turn is a small parking space so that guests may park where it is convenient for their comfort level. A TRUCK/SUV WITH AWD/4WD IS ALL THAT WILL BE ALLOWED AT THE PROPERTY DUE TO THE STEEPNESS OF THE DRIVEWAY DURING THE WINTER MONTHS. PLEASE NOTE, NO REFUNDS WILL BE MADE IF THE VEHICLE CANNOT GET TO THE PROPERTY.
BEFORE BOOKING please note that if your reservation requires additional guest fees and/or pet fees, these fees will NOT be shown at time of booking. These fees will be added AFTER you have booked and you have paid the amount due at that time. It's the guest's responsibility to let us know within 48 hours of booking if there are any pets, service animals or additional guests that weren't originally listed at the time of booking. Changes made to the reservation after 48 hours of time of booking are subject to a $35 change of reservation fee in addition to the pet fee and/or additional guest fee. Once a property manager has reviewed your reservation, these fees will be manually added. See below for more information on additional guest fees, pet fees and the policies on these matters.

Pets or no pets: It's the guest's responsibility to make PMI Northern Arizona aware of a service animal or emotional support animal that will be staying at the property before check in. Once made aware, you will be sent an email of our policy on this matter. When we've confirmed your service or emotional support animal, you're required to sign an Animal Addendum in addition to the standard contract.
